Marcy, Hi. I seem to have fallen off your list. Could you please put me back on? Thanks.
Have a great holiday. Steve
Marcy, still not getting your posts and would like to. I amy be in Boston in October. Perhaps we could get together and catch up. If you get to NY, lets try to have coffee or lunch. Be well. Steve
In the passing days, I have thought of you with your Watertown home and the distress that the nation has observed in the vicinity of that home. With the celebration of personal victory there came the horror of slaughter and maim. Massachusetts has long celebrated Patriot’s Day of which I personally identify, because it is my birthday. But that aside, I wish you well being, and close with a quote from William Ernest Henley called Invictus.
Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
– William Ernest Henley
