In the passing days, I have thought of you with your Watertown home and the distress that the nation has observed in the vicinity of that home. With the celebration of personal victory there came the horror of slaughter and maim. Massachusetts has long celebrated Patriot's Day of which I personally identify, because it is my birthday. But that aside, I wish you well being, and close with a quote from William Ernest Henley called Invictus.

Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
 - William Ernest Henley

Thank you. I live in the north woods of Michigan and hunting is an economic engine that has deep roots here. No one hunts with an automatic weapon. No one. Your article was extremely well written and cohesive. I guess the problem is that the folks that want guns in elementary schools have limited eridution. As with all the problems we humans create for ourselves, we need to push together to find a solution. Waiting for a messiah is not going to do it. I'll share this with as many folks as I can. Thanks again.
